The vision of the scheme is to inspire school students to pursue careers in Science and research through immersive, hands-on experiences in various scientific disciplines.

Objective

The primary objective of this scheme is to:

  • To inspire interest in Science and research among school students by providing them with hands-on, immersive experiences in scientific disciplines.
  • To introduce students to real-world scientific environments by hosting them in reputed colleges or universities equipped with research facilities.
  • To foster a deep appreciation for scientific careers, helping students understand the value and impact of careers in Science and research.
  • To motivate students to consider Science and research as viable career paths, encouraging a new generation of scientists and researchers.
  • Every year, 40 students from Grade IX in each district are chosen to take part in this initiative for 15 days as residential Programme.

Outcome

  • Increased Interest in Science and Research: School students develop a strong interest in Science and research through hands-on, immersive experiences in various scientific disciplines.
  • Exposure to Real-World Scientific Environments: Students are introduced to actual scientific settings by being hosted in reputed colleges or universities with advanced research facilities.
  • Deeper Appreciation for Scientific Careers: Students gain a deeper understanding of the importance and impact of careers in Science and research, fostering a long-term appreciation for these fields.
  • Motivation to Pursue Science and Research: Students are inspired to consider Science and research as viable and rewarding career options, helping to build a future generation of scientists and researchers.
  • Annual Participation of 40 Grade IX Students per District: Each year, 40 Grade IX students from every district are selected to participate in a 15-day residential program, providing an intensive and immersive experience.
