The vision of the scheme is to empower young scientists with advanced skills, cutting-edge knowledge, and collaborative experiences that enhance their research capabilities and contribute to the growth of scientific knowledge and teaching excellence in our state.

Objective

The primary objective of this scheme is to:

  • To provide young scientists and researchers under 40 years of age with fellowship support, enabling them to upgrade their skills, learn sophisticated instrumentation techniques, adopt modern research methodologies, or engage in collaborative research with senior scientists at leading research centers in other states.
  • This scheme grants a fellowship of Rs.10,000 per month, in addition to their regular salary, for a period of 2 to 6 months, fostering professional development that benefits both their research output and teaching quality.

  • Enhanced Research Skills: Young scientists acquire advanced skills and knowledge, which improves their research capabilities.
  • Exposure to Modern Techniques: Fellows gain practical experience in sophisticated instrumentation and modern methodologies that enrich their research.

Proposals will be invited once a year and must be submitted in accordance with the TNSCST guidelines and prescribed format
